Reverend Dr. Jonathan McReynolds to Become the Pastor of the Historic St. Paul Baptist Church of Boise, Idaho
The historic St. Paul Baptist Church of Boise, Idaho has facilitated an extensive national search for its next Senior Pastor. Rev. Dr. Michael J. Ross served faithfully as the Senior Pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church and has retired after twenty-four years of faithful service.
St. Paul Baptist Church is proud to announce, based upon Acts 20:28, that the Lord has identified and sent a new shepherd for a new season. The Rev. Dr. Jonathan McReynolds was elected and has accepted the role of Senior Pastor of this historic congregation. Rev. Dr. McReynolds is currently serving on the ministerial staff of New Salem Baptist Church of Memphis, Tennessee, under Rev. Dr. Frank E. Ray Sr., which is one of the largest African American congregations in Memphis, Tennessee with over 5000 members.
Rev. Dr. McReynolds has over thirty-four years of ministry experience and has served successfully as a Senior Pastor in multiple states and is a fourth-generation clergyman. He is currently an officer of the National Baptist Convention USA Inc. and is a Faculty Mentor for the United Theological Seminary, which is the second largest United Methodist Seminary in America, teaching Pastoral Care and Counseling.
St. Paul Baptist Church is excited about their future with Rev. Dr. Jonathan McReynolds as he plans to lead the church through renewal, evangelism, and ministry development. A community Pastoral Installation Service will be planned for the fall.
